My name is Peter Scrimshaw and I've been
an avid collector for over 25 years.
I started out collecting Hornby Dublo and
one of my first locomotives was a Hornby Dublo Sir Nigel Gresley in the LNER blue livery.
It's still one of my favourites.
I am a member and past president of The
Platelayers Society, a Canadian club that specializes in British outline model
railways and proud to have been past Show Manager of the Great British Train
Show for a number of years. I also belong to the HRCA (Hornby Railway Collectors
Association) which is UK based and the BRMNA (British Railway Modellers of North
America). Information about these clubs and associations can be found on my links
page.
The Great British Train Show 2006 was held
at the end of April in Brampton Ontario Canada and drew participants from all
over North America and also from the UK. I was very pleased to have David Brown,
Managing Editor of the British Railway Modelling, staying with me while he was
here for the show.
